Square Enix Osaka is recruiting for a number of positions to work on the ‘HD development of the Kingdom Hearts series’, as spotted by Gematsu

The developer is seeking UI designers, effect designers, and technical artists for the future of one of its most successful series. Though little is learned from the listings about these projects, it could mean that the Kingdom Hearts III ReMIND DLC is almost done. If Square Enix Osaka are pivoting to a new Kingdom Hearts venture, then we could expect that it will reveal the release date of ReMIND very soon.

Moreover, the projects are focusing on ‘HD development’ of the series so we could assume that whatever the developer is cooking up will be set for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. However, the PlayStation 5 was announced in early October. It is possible that a new Kingdom Hearts game could be pitching towards a next-gen release, as the PlayStation 5 will be very HD indeed

Kingdom Hearts III is the latest game in the series and launched for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in January. Its expansion, ReMIND, is expected to come out this winter with a new scenario, bosses, and an English voice acting feature. Sora is set to get a new battle form, and Aqua, Roxas, and Riku will be playable in combat. Lea, Xion, and Ventus will receive new combos, and finally, Sora will wield the Oathkeeper keyblade.
