A free trial of Wii Fit U will be released for Wii U starting on November 1, Nintendo has announced.
The trial lasts 31 days and provides access to all 77 activities found in the game. All you need is a Wii Balance Board. Players can continue playing beyond the trial by syncing a Fit meter, which will be available at retail separately to the game on November 1. The Fit Meter will be available in Black, Red or Green colours.
The Fit Meter records not only the number of steps a user has taken, but also takes into account the intensity of those steps, meaning it can differentiate between running and walking. The Fit Meter also measures altitude, meaning inclines will be rewarded.
All of the collected data allows for a detailed calculation of the number of calories players have burned. This data can then be transferred wirelessly to Wii Fit U via the Wii U GamePad with just a touch of a button.
A retail version of the game will be offered in two packs on December 6: the game and Fit Meter, and the game, Fit Meter and Balance Board. A paid download version of the game will also be released on February 1, 2014.
The free trial will be available from the eShop until January 31, 2014.
