Epic Games has released many useless Fortnite items over the past few years. While this may sound like a bad thing, it’s far from it. Thanks to all these experiments, the game developer has turned Fortnite into one of the most popular games of all time.

Many players remember some fantastic items like the SCAR. However, some items were so awful that no one even wanted to carry them in their inventory. Due to this, we’ve decided to make a list of the seven most useless Fortnite items ever released.

Most useless Fortnite items ever released

1) Spire Jumpboots

The Spire Jumpboots are arguably the worst Mythic item ever released to Fortnite. They were available in Chapter 2 – Season 6, but obtaining them was very hectic. Players who wanted to get the item needed to eliminate a Spire Guardian, then carry an orb to the Spire, located in the middle of the map.

This was a risky task for a mediocre item. These boots granted glider redeployment after chaining three jumps in a row. While this was a decent mobility item, many players refused to waste an inventory slot on it.

2) Bottle Rockets

Each list of the most useless Fortnite items should include Bottle Rockets. The item was first added in Chapter 1 – Season 7 and was flat-out awful. Before its release, many players worried that these rockets would be too strong. However, they were only annoying.

The range of these rockets was awful and their damage was subpar. On top of that, rockets had random flight paths, which is why they were extremely inaccurate. Due to this, they stayed in the game for only one month in Chapter 1.

3) Smoke Grenade

Adding Smoke Grenades to Fortnite Chapter 4 would be amazing. These grenades would be a great addition, especially in Zero Build modes. However, the first time Smoke Grenades were released, they became one of the most useless Fortnite items.

Epic Games released the item in the very first season of the battle royale game. However, many players used it to troll their teammates, and the item didn’t have a big purpose.

4) Hunter’s Cloak

Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 6 introduced the crafting system to the game, which was very interesting. The system was used primarily for crafting weapons, although players could use it to craft the Hunter’s Cloak as well.

The reason why Hunter’s Cloak made the list of the most useless Fortnite items of all time is its purpose. While wearing the cloak, players wouldn’t be attacked by wildlife and would be able to tame animals more easily. The item was another Season 6 failure, and spending an inventory slot on it was a big no for many players.

5) Chiller

Chiller is a trap that freezes a player’s feet when they interact with it. Unlike the spike trap, which was very popular in Chapter 1, Chiller dealt no damage. Instead, many players used it as a mobility item and didn’t use it against their enemies.

The trap was mostly used to confuse enemies, and fortunately, it did not require an inventory slot. Despite this, it’s still one of the most useless Fortnite items, so it’s no surprise that it’s no longer available in the video game.

6) Bandages

Bandages have been available in Fortnite Battle Royale since the game came out. They have never been vaulted, although Epic Games should consider doing it. The item should either be buffed or vaulted since it’s no longer useful.

With many other healing items, Fortnite Bandages have become useless. They require 3.5 seconds to use and can heal up to 75 hit points. They are one of the most common, but also one of the most useless Fortnite items.

7) Charge SMG

Charge SMG is a close-range weapon that was added in Chapter 3 – Season 3. The weapon was very quick, shooting nearly 17 bullets per second and dealing up to 19 damage. However, it was a situational weapon, which is why many players preferred its alternatives.

Using the Charge SMG was great when surprising players with sudden attacks and unleashing bullets on them. It was also a decent weapon for destroying builds. However, using this weapon in 1-on-1 situations wasn’t recommended, and it was rather awful in Zero Build modes.
