Boogie Bombs

  • Boogie Bombs have been unvaulted for Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3
  • When they hit a player, it forces them to dance for around a second, unable to defend themselves
  • They were first introduced back in Fortnite Season 2, but have returned several times since then

Fortnite is constantly adding in new items with each new Season, and taking them away almost immediately. This is a great way of keeping the game fresh but it does mean that there are plenty of fan-favourite items like Boogie Bombs that have been out of the game for years.

But every now and again, Epic Games sees fit to bring these items back in new Seasons so that new and old players alike have the chance to take a look at these items. So if you’re someone who wants to have another go with the iconic Boogie Bombs, are they back in the game?

Have Boogie Bombs been unvaulted?

Great news! As of May 30th 2024, Boogie Bombs have been unvaulted by Epic Games and are usable in-game once more. After being introduced way back in Season 2, the Boogie Bomb was vaulted, but has made several return appearances over the years across every Chapter.

Before Chapter 5 Season 3, it had been most recently unvaulted in November as a part of Chapter 4 Season OG, but was only available for a couple of weeks. So we’re glad to see it make a return in this Season along with some other great weapons.

What are Boogie Bombs in Fortnite?

Boogie Bombs are a type of grenade that, when thrown at a player, does not cause damage and will instead force them to dance. While the other player is dancing, they can’t use any weapons or items, build, sprint or even crouch, making them incredibly easy to finish off.

Just be aware that, when throwing a Boogie Bomb, it will affect anyone in the blast radius, whether they’re enemies or not. So if you chuck a Boogie Bomb at an enemy and it hits you or your teammate instead, you might find yourself heading back to the lobby sooner that you think.
