  • Eleonora can be found at the Second Church of Marika, north of the Altus Highway Junction Site of Grace
  • The weapon requires 12 Str, 21 Dex and 19 Arc to wield

Elden Ring is full of so many unique weapons that it can be hard to choose the one that’s right for you. But if you’re someone who likes a weapon as long as it looks good, then Eleonora’s Poleblade, which looks like something a medieval Darth Maul would wield, might be for you.

But more than looking good, it’s a very powerful late-game weapon, so there’s plenty of reason to add this one to your arsenal. If you’re after it, we’ve put together a quick guide to point you in the right direction, including where and how to get it and the stats you need to wield it.

Eleonora’s Poleblade stat requirements

Wielding Eleonora’s Poleblade requires a minimum of 12 Str, 21 Dex and 19 Arc. It scales best with Dex and Arc, making it the perfect weapon if your build is going in that direction. Its base stats deal 72 Physical and 72 Fire damage, so it’s also a great option if you’re going up against enemies weak to fire. Perhaps not as good as the Magma Blade, but very strong nonetheless. Despite its appearance, it’s not great at dealing Bleed, only causing blood loss buildup of 33.

Eleonora’s Poleblade Ash of War

Eleonora’s Poleblade comes with its own Ash of War – Bloodblade Dance – and cannot be infused with any other Ashes of War. Bloodblade Dance will make you leap forward towards your enemy and wildly spin around, swinging your blade in a tornado of attacks. It doesn’t deal massive damage but is highly evasive and resistant to stagger, making it ideal for getting a quick attack in if you’re focusing on avoiding damage.

Where to get Eleonora’s Poleblade in Elden Ring

To get Eleonora’s Poleblade, you need to defeat Eleonora, the Violet Bloody Finger. She can be found at the Second Church of Marika, just to the north of the Altus Highway Junction Site of Grace (check the map above for the specific location). You might be tasked with killing her as part of Yura’s questline, but you can do it even if you’ve not started it yet.

How to beat Eleonora, the Violet Bloody Finger

Once you reach her hideout, Eleonora will spawn. She uses a series of fast attacks that will quickly build up Bleed on you if you’re not careful, so it’s handy to have some Staunching Boluses ready to nullify it.

She’s susceptible to Bleed, Frost, Scarlet Rot and Poison damage, so if you have a weapon that inflicts one of these status effects, make good use of it. Alternatively, you could use Blood Grease, Freezing Grease, Rot Grease or Poison Grease to apply it to one of your weapons.

Her Rotten Breath attack is dangerous if you aren’t prepared, but can be easily countered. You’ll see it coming when a grey dragon’s head appears. You’ll have a second or two to jump in and get an attack it, staggering her and preventing the attack. If you’re too far away, just focus on dodging it.

Once she’s taken enough damage, she’ll attempt to heal herself. This is a great chance to punish her, getting a few attacks off to not only prevent the heal, but get some free HP and stance damage in. You could also use Albinauric Pots to prevent her from healing at all.
