Purifying Crystal Tear

  • The Purifying Crystal tear can negate Mohg’s Blood Loss attack when used in a Wondrous Physick
  • It can be found by killing Eleonora at the Second Church of Marika in Altus Plateau
  • Use the Wondrous Physick as soon as you see Mohg prepare to use the Blood Loss attack

Mohg, Lord of Blood is one of the most infamous fights in Elden Ring thanks to its crushing difficulty, especially when it comes to the second phase. But to make it even harder, between phases Mohg will heal, and hit you with three unavoidable hits, forcing you to take huge damage. That’s where the Purifying Crystal Tear comes in.

If you’re struggling with Mohg and want a way to negate his Blood Loss, then you’ve come to the right place. We’ll take you through how and where to get the Purifying Crystal Tear and how to use it to make the Mohg fight just that little bit easier.

Where to get the Purifying Crystal Tear in Elden Ring

To get the Purifying Crystal Tear, you’ll have to defeat Eleonora, the Violet Bloody Fingers. She’s located at the Second Church of Marika on the Altus Plateau, just north of the Altus Highway Junction Site of Grace. Killing her is part of Yura’s questline, but you don’t actually need to start this to kill her, so just head here if you don’t mind missing it.

Once you reach the church, head over to the front of it. You’ll be invaded by Eleonora and immediately enter combat. Watch out for her quick attacks as they can very easily stack Bleed. She herself is weak to Bleed, so make sure to use a Bleed-inflicting weapon of your own and she’ll be down in no time, and you’ll get the Purifying Crystal Tear, as well as Eleonora’s Poleblade.

How to negate Mohg’s Blood Loss with the Purifying Crystal Tear

The Purifying Crystal Tear can be added to your Wondrous Physick. If you don’t know how to do this, head to a Site of Grace and select the ‘Mix Wondrous Physick’ option. Select the Purifying Crystal Tear and another Crystal Tear of your choice and then place the Wondrous Physick on your equipment bar.

As soon as Mohg reaches half his HP, he will start to perform his Blood Loss mechanic, where he heals and deals huge amounts of damage to you. As soon as he starts preparing this attack, drink from your Wondrous Physick. You will completely negate all of the damage from Mohg’s Blood Loss attack, potentially saving two or three flask uses in the process. Unfortunately, Mohg will still heal from this, so you still have your work cut out for you, especially if you’re looking to start the DLC anytime soon.
