  • Using Rellana’s Twin Blades +10.
  • You want to have Dex, Str, Int, and Faith for this build.
  • Use Incantations for buffs with the Golden Order Seal.

With the introduction of Light Greatswords, one pair in particular has caught everyone’s attention. Rellana’s Twin Blades was added in Shadow of the Erdtree, letting you dual-wield a Light Greatsword in each hand. These weapons are infused with magic, letting you make a build that covers a lot of bases. These weapons are obtained through Elden Ring’s DLC, and this is our pick for the best Rellana’s Twin Blades build to try out.

Since you can’t change this weapon’s unique Ash of War, you’re stuck with Moon-and-Fire Stance. The good news it it’s especially stylish, and it can really help bring up your damage specifically in a Strength, Dex, and Faith hybrid build. Let’s break it down below.

Stats and attributes

For this build, we are including using the Golden Order Seal, which means you will need to have 17 in Int and Faith. Rellana’s Twin Blades require 16 Int and Fai, so one more point in each won’t hurt. Alongside Int and Fai, you will need 13 Str and 16 Dex to use the Twin Blades. The amount the weapon scales from Faith isn’t anything impressive, but you’ll be using Faith incantation with this build over sorceries. Here are the stats you’ll want at level 213:

AttributeLevel
Vigor60
Mind30
Endurance30
Strength50
Dexterity50
Intelligence17
Faith41
Arcane14

Weapons

Naturally, you’re going to want to use Rellana’s Twin Blades at +10. To get this weapon, you must beat Rellana and then use her Remembrance to get the weapon from the Roundtable Hold Finger Reader. In your offhand, you’ll want to have the Golden Order Seal at +10. Both of these weapons require Somber Smithing Stones to upgrade. You want to have enough Faith to cast Flame, Grant me Strength and Golden Vow if you’re feeling fancy.

Golden Order Seal +10

You can use the Golden Order Seal with these stats:

The inclusion of the Golder Order Seal in this build will let you use Sorceries if you don’t want to use Incantations. Depending on which way you go, you’ll want to pump more stats into Faith or Intellect. For this build, we’ve favoured Faith and Incantations. Rellana’s Twin Blades has split damage between Physical, Magic, and Fire. The sword that has a blue design deals magic damage while the sword with golden details deals fire damage.

Ash of War

As a unique weapon, Rellana’s Twin Blades cannot be customised with different Ashes of War or any other weapon enhancements. As such, you’re stuck with the Moon-and-Fire Stance. Due to how stylish and devastating this Ash of War is, you could certainly do a lot worse. While you hold the Ash of War to ready it, pressing R1 will use the magic sword to fire out blade beams in a combo. Pressing R2 will begin a twirling fire attack, spinning you forward and spreading fire.

  • Rellana’s Twin Blades – Moon-and-Fire Stance.
  • Golden Order Seal – No skill.

At +10, Rellana’s Twin Blades has C scaling for Str, Dex, Int, and Fai. This lets you mix and match how you want to specialise your stats.

Incantations and Sorceries

With your Golden Order Seal, you can cast both Incantations and Sorceries with one catalyst. This is important because it will still be useful if you decide to spec more into Intelligence over Faith, or vice-versa. In terms of Incantations, with the stats listed above, you will want to use Golden Vow and Flame, Grant me Strength.

These two will help increase your damage output and your damage negation thanks to the buffs it provides. You’ll want to use these two first, drink a Ceruluean Flask, and then go on the offensive with both swords in hand.

Talismans

Thanks to how the Ash of War works, you’ll always benefit from Rellana’s Cameo with this build. Outside of this, you want to increase your damage capabilities, which you’ll get from the Shard of Alexander and the Rotten Winged Sword Insignia. If you want to have more defence, you can switch out the turtle talisman for the Dragoncrest Great Shield, but we think you’ll benefit more from the extra stamina recovery. When it comes to Talismans, you want to use these four:

TalismanEffect
Rellana’s CameoEnhances attacks executed after maintaining the same stance for a while.
Rotten Winged Sword InsigniaGreatly raises attack power with successive attacks.
Two-Headed Turtle TalismanGreatly raises stamina recovery speed.
Shard of AlexanderGreatly boosts the attack power of skills.

If you want, you can use the slot for the Two-Headed Turtle Talisman for anything else you want to put there. Erdtree’s Favor +2 is always a good one if you’re at a loss.

Armor and gear

If you’re rocking Rellana’s swords, you might as well rock her whole style and equip everything from Rellana’s set. You can buy this armour from the Finger Reader at the Roundtable Hold after you beat Rellana. This full set provides 51 poise in total and a great deal of damage negation. If you want to incorporate pieces of Rellana’s set but not the whole thing, you can sub some different pieces:

  • Rellana’s Helm / Cuckoo Knight Helm / Diallos’s Mask
  • Rellana’s Armor
  • Rellana’s Gloves
  • Rellana’s Greaves / Fire Knight Greaves

For maximum style, you’ll want to keep Rellana’s Armor as your chest piece. We’ve found mixing and matching with the Cuckoo Knight Helm and the Fire Knight Greaves makes for an incredibly stylish set. If you don’t mind the lower 48 poise, this will be a damn fashionable time for you with the best Rellana Twin Blades build.

Mixed Physick and Great Rune

No matter what you want to do with your Mixed Physick, we always recommend the Opaline Bubbletear to give you a shield for damage negation. If you want to opt for purely offensive buffs, then you have some great options with the Thorny Cracked Tear to help increase damage.

✓ good to know

If you want to split your flasks for more healing, you can use the Cerulean Crystal Tear as a way to restore half your FP by using it in the Physick.

In terms of your Great Rune, it’s best to go for Godrick’s Great Rune. This will increase all of your stats equally and it helps with Rellana’s Twin Blades because it uses everything but Arcane, so you’re getting a blanket boost to everything that is useful to your build. This is best for boss fights, but we do always recommend using Rykard’s Great Rune while you’re exploring, simply because it will help keep your HP topped up without using your flasks.

General combat tips

Since you have stats spread across everything, you want to begin tough fights by buffing yourself up with Golden Vow and Flame, Grant me Strength. When you do this, drink your Physick to restore FP (if you used that tear) or buff yourself up further. Hold Rellana’s Twin Blades in both hands to use both swords at once and start slashing.

You can use Moon-and-Fire Stance’s flame attacks to clear out a lot of small enemies at once, while mostly keeping yourself safe from attacks. If you want to damage from range, use the R1 to fire magical blade beams at your foes. Since you’ll have Rellana’s Cameo equipped, you’ll get a bigger damage buff from holding your Ash of War stance and using it a lot.
