Alongside a ton of new weapons, spirit ashes, and talisman, Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree introduces 8 new Crystal Tears to concoct fresh Mixed Physick variants. They certainly come into their own when facing off against the roster of testing bosses From Software has designed for the expansion.

Given the size of the Realm of Shadow, finding the tears is quite the task. To help you grab them quickly and easily, you’ll find all the new tears in the DLC along with their specific locations. The general gist is that tears are drops from the hulking fire golems, just like the one you’ll spot when you enter the Gravesite Plain for the first time.

Deflecting Hard Tear

  • Effect – Enhances spontaneous guard in mixed physick.

You can get the Deflecting Hard Tear as a reward for defeating the Furnace Golem southeast of the Three-Path Cross site of grace in Gravesite Plain. It’s the first one you’ll spot playing Shadow of the Erdtree and a solid way to figure out what works and doesn’t when taking on these giants. Torrent is your best friend and especially double jumping above the AoE flame attacks. Boosting Torrent’s damage negation with Revered Spirit Ash Blessing is worth it, too.

Viridian Hidden Tear

  • Effect – Eliminates all stamina consumption in mixed physick.

The Viridian Hidden Tear is the reward for defeating the Furnace Golem roaming in the waters to the northeast of the Cerulean Coast site of grace. You can reach him either from the site of grace, or if you haven’t unlocked it yet by following the Ellac River south starting in Gravesite Plain.

Crimson-Sapping Cracked Tear

  • Effect – Grant attacks HP-restoring effects in mixed physick.

To get the Crimson-Sapping Cracked Tear, you’ll need to take down the Furnace Golem in the Ancient Ruins of Rauh just north of the Rauh Ancient Ruins, West site of grace. He’s arguably the toughest one to beat as he scaled to the area, so be prepared for a fight.

Crimsonburst Dried Tear

  • Effect – Steadily restores HP of nearby allies for a time in mixed physick.

You can pick the Crimsonburst Dried Tear as a reward for defeating the Furnace Golem roaming the encampment in front of Shadow Keep in Scadu Altus. This one is a bit tricky as the soldiers will join in the fight to really test your skills. Luckily, the Golem’s attacks also damage them so you can strategically take them out by coaxing it into attacking.

Bloodsucking Cracked Tear

  • Effect – Enhances attacks at the cost of HP in mixed physick.

The Bloodsucking Cracked Tear is dropped by the dormant Furnace Golem at the Ruins of Unte in lower Scadu Altus. It’s right next to the Oil-Soaked Tear golem, blocking the entrance to the ruins’ inner portion. To wake the golem, toss a Hefty Fire Pot/Hefty Furnace pot into its furnace then take it down as you would any other golem.
