Many have been talking about the Star-Lined Sword in Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree DLC and for good reason. This powerful katana is being called one of the best weapons in the DLC. Unfortunately, getting the Star-Lined Sword is much easier said than done. This is mainly due to the route required for getting the weapon being a long and treacherous one. This is where you can find the Star-Lined Sword.

Where to find the Star-Lined Sword

To obtain the Star-Lined Sword, you must first travel to the Cerulean Coast and beat Demi-Human Queen Marigga. This part of the map is accessed by travelling down the ravine near the Castle Front Site of Grace. Once you reach the Cerulean Coast Site of Grace, you will be near where the Star-Lined Sword is found.

You can start your journey to obtain this weapon from the Cerulean Coast Site of Grace or the Cerulean Coast West Site of Grace. We started from the west since we already had that Site of Grace. If you start from the Cerulean Coast Site of Grace, head west or head east if you start from the western Site of Grace. Locate the two large ship structures that rest on either side of the entrance to a ravine.

Enter the ravine, being wary of the numerous demi-human enemies along the way. Stick to the left wall of the ravine and follow the path north and then west. This will lead you to another coast. Here, you will find Demi-Human Queen Marigga surrounded by many demi-human enemies. We advise that you take out the demi-humans from a distance so as to not lure them into the boss fight. We were able to defeat Marigga quickly using bleed arrows. Once defeated, this optional boss will drop the Star-Lined Sword.

Star-Lined Sword overview

Similar to Moonveil, the Star-Lined Sword has a unique weapon art that allows you to slash foes with magical attacks. This weapon art can be used in rapid succession to chain attacks together and hit multiple foes. This weapon scales primarily with dexterity and intelligence and is upgraded using Somber Smithing Stones. As with other katanas, it will also cause bleed buildup on enemies with each hit.
