Nothing is easy in Shadow of the Erdtree. The Temple Tower Ruins below the Ancient Ruins of Rauh seems ripe for exploration and nabbing some loot, but finding your way inside can be a tad tricky. There’s even a fixed message jotted down against a wall suggesting that someone else struggled as well.

To save you unsuccessfully trying to double jump into the ruins while riding torrent, we’ll walk you through how to get into the ruins. It’s a lot easier than expected, but you have to look in the right place to find the path inside.

How to access the Temple Town Ruins

To get inside the Temple Town Ruins, you’ll want to go through the small opening at the back of the settlement. From the Temple Town Ruins site of grace, head to the very south of the town. There you’ll find a set of crumbling ruins and a few pesky spectres, but more importantly the southern facing wall of the settlement.

Face north and scour the bottom of the wall to find a small gap that you can walk through. It’s a bit hidden away with all the rubble and high grass, but you should come across it easily enough. It’s roughly in the middle of the wall. Head through and make your way up on the right to reach the upper level and then press on to ultimately reach a small chapel. Inside is a chest containing the Two-Handed Sword Talisman, which enhances attacks with two-handed weapons.

The rest of the ruins are worth exploring as well to pick up crafting materials, smithing and somber stones, and grab some runes by defeating the enemies there, including a testing horned knight just before the chapel at the top.
