Taking place in Melbourne’s Albert Park, the Australian GP is a fairly simple race that rewards cars with good top speeds that can make the most of the various straights. It’s only the third race in the season, so you want to make sure to start as you mean to continue, as a win here sets you up well for the remainder of the calendar.

To help you out, we’ve put together our best setup for the Albert Park Circuit so you’ve got the best possible car to max out on those long straights while still having the downforce you need to navigate the few hard turns.

Albert Park Circuit

The Australian GP is similar to the Bahrain GP, with not too many turns and some high-speed stretches that will give you plenty of opportunity to overtake on, making it a nice change of pace from the previous Saudi Arabia GP.

In total, the track measures 5.278km (3.279 miles) and contains 14 turns – one fewer than Bahrain.

If you don’t want to bother tinkering with your setup and just want to get started, then we recommend either Preset 2 or 3, as these will give you the downforce you need to wrangle with those tight corners without losing too much speed down the straights.
