FC 24 – How to Jockey

Wondering how to jockey in FC 24? Then you have come to the right place. There has been little change in the way of the basic controls in-game, which remain almost identical to its FIFA predecessor. The jockey function was a key feature in FIFA 23, and remains as such in FC 24.

The inaugural FC 24 release date is just around the corner. This means that FC 24 early access is even sooner, with fans also able to get started in FC 24 Ultimate Team via the FC 24 Web App.

With the new game upon us, here is everything that you need to know about how to jockey in FC 24.

How to jockey in FC 24

Jockeying is an incredibly simple, yet tremendously effective tool to have in your locker when defending in FC 24, particularly when you’re coming up against attackers with high-rated dribbling statistics.

Whilst jockeying, your defender will adjust their body to better position themselves to intercept the ball from the opponent. Jockeying reduces the reliance on traditional tackling methods, and, in turn, reduces the risk of giving away needless fouls.

To jockey in EAFC 24, simply follow these steps:

• PlayStation: Whilst holding down L2, use your left analogue stick to position the body of your defender towards the attacker.
• Xbox: Whilst holding down LT, use your left analogue stick to position the body of your defender towards the attacker.

Once you have used the jockey function to position your player you can then attempt to recover the ball. We would recommend attempting a standing tackle in this scenario.

It is possible to attempt to jockey a player whilst sprinting, however we would recommend that you avoid doing this where possible, as sprinting will severely reduce the agility of the defender, thus making it more difficult to position your body correctly.
