Tarisland has a fishing minigame, which is useful for geting food buff items, alongside participating special items for the Food Festival event. If you’re struggling with the feature, this guide will teach you how to fish and lure correctly.
How to Fish in Tarisland
Firstly, players will need to get to level 20 to unlock the fishing quest.
- When you get to level 20, go to Silverlit, and check on the Trading Hub area for an NPC called Black Gun
- Follow the quest he gives you to get a fish from teh NPC by the water near the Downtown Teleport Stone.
- From there, return to Black Gun, and he’ll give you a Fishing Rod.
- Once you have the fishing rod, place it on your hot bar, and then press the button to start using your rod.
- You’ll need to stand at a moderate distance away from the water you’re fishing at.
- Place the bauble down when it’s highlighted blue.
And from there, you’re tasked with a mini-game to fish.

How to successfully lure fish in Tarisland
With the minigame, there are a few simple rules to follow.
- When fish appear, you must tap your screen or mouse, and slowly stack the green bar up.
- However, you do not want to let your green bar hit the red bar within the fish icon. Doing so will cause your fish to escape.
- When the fish icon blows steam, the red bar will disappear.
- You now spam your screen or mouse to let your green bar overtake the fish/
- Get the green bar to the end of the line, and you’ll successfully reel your catch in.
The minigame for fishing is all about timing. Don’t press the lure too much to start reeling teh fish in while it has a red bar. The red bar will also move back and forward slightly, so again, keep your distance. But, not too much distance as you want to spam your line later to beat the fish to the end of the line.
How to get bait in Tarisland
There are a few ways to get fish bait in Tarisland. You can get some via the rewards screen in game, such as Mithril bait from the TARISLAND promo code. You can also get some from in-game promotions and other events.
As for the basic fish bat, you cna get them in the hot items store, and purchase them for silver. Click the house icon next to the minute map when you’re in game, and look at the Hot Items menu. You’ll find Mithril bait for around 500 silver each.
