All Marvel Rivals characters and full roster

Marvel Rivals is finally here after a prolonged beta period and plenty of teases along the way. Players can now jump into the free-to-play 6v6 hero shooter as one of their favourite characters. The game has an impressive roster that will undoubtedly have something for everyone, and we’ve listed all the characters available below. We’ve also popped in an explainer of each of the three different classes that the characters fall into.

Marvel Rivals character roster

There are currently 33 playable characters in Marvel Rivals, with more set to arrive later down the line. They are divided into three in-game roles: Strategist, Vanguard, and Duelist. For more traditional-minded players, these roles are Support, Tank, and DPS. However, in the game, every role is perfectly capable of holding its own, reflecting the superpowers and abilities of its heroes. There are also team-up abilities for certain character combinations that add an extra edge during matches. Here are all the characters that have made it into the game so far:

We expect more Marvel superheroes to join the roster as time passes and NetEase Games has already committed to them being free on arrival.. You’ll notice the lack of a few big names like Deadpool, the Fantastic Four, Captain Marvel, and many others.

Non-playable characters

Besides the playable roster of superheroes, there are non-playable NPCs. For instance, the game’s premise is based on Doctor Doom meeting Doom 2099 and causing a Timestream Entanglement, which allows the game to take place. Similarly, there’s Galacta, daughter to the famous super-being Galactus. She helps the players get to grips with the universe and alters the battlefields to facilitate team matches. Other characters, like Colossus and Dracula, are referenced during dialogue lines, tying the game into the broader universe.
