Now that players are rushing back to Modern Warfare 3 lobbies, unlock the Breacher Drone to level up quicker. With Season 4 now underway, use this explosive piece of tech to rack up kills across its new game modes and maps. Here’s what you need to know about this lethal drone and how you can unlock it.
How to get the Breacher Drone in MW3
To unlock the Breacher Drone, you must hit level 25 and finish three Armory Unlock Challenges. It’s an explosive drone that blows up in proximity to an enemy or on impact. It has a better chance of a kill than grenades or other tactical options in your Lethal Equipment slot unless you prefer grenades or mines. Thanks to its large explosion radius, you could even take down two enemies if they’re close to each other.
Also, note that this Armory Unlock system lets you decide what to work towards. So if you don’t set the Breacher Drone as the “Active Challenge,” your completed daily challenges won’t count towards it. This lets you pick what perks and equipment you want to unlock first. These range from the Signal Jammer to lethal equipment like the Breacher Drone in CoD multiplayer.
Use the Demolition Vest to enter matches with two Breacher Drones. And remember that the Enginner Vest and CCT Comms Vest don’t have this slot so you won’t be able to use Lethal Equipment.
Why should you use the MW3 Breacher Drone
The Breacher Drone is accessed just by pressing the Lethal Equipment button. This sends it off flying towards where the player faces before pursuing the nearest enemy and exploding on contact. There’s no player intervention required, making it an easy way to score kills for XP. It’s easier than some of the deadlier loadout options that require some management. The drone can be easily destroyed by enemy gunfire, so be mindful of its flight path and avoid exposing it to open fire.
