  • Ring of Freight can be purchased from the Medal Merchant at the Desolate Church for 50 Dog Coins.
  • This item also drops from Menasting Terra, a level 54 Pal who roams the north end of Sakurajima Island.

There are loads of new Pals and weapons to discover in the new Sakurajima update. It brings a bunch of useful items as well and one particular accessory is great if you find yourself carrying too many resources and items at a time. The Ring of Freight boosts your carrying capacity, letting you bring more weapons and gear with you as you roam the world. Here’s where you can get your hands on it.

Ring of Freight locations and how to get there

The Ring of Freight can be purchased for 50 Dog Coins from a Medal Merchant near the Desolate Church waypoint. While this NPC can be found near other ruins too, we had the most luck finding them here. This particular Ring of Freight +1 (Uncommon) item boosts your carrying capacity more than a basic one. These merchants appear randomly but there’s a high chance of them showing up at the Desolate Church. As for Dog Coins, they’re a new currency that was introduced with the Sakurajima update. Grab these from chests and scrap piles on the new Sakurajima Island.

If you haven’t earned enough Dog Coins in Palworld yet, there’s another method of getting the Ring of Freight. A Ring of Fright +2 (Rare) that boosts your capacity by +100 can drop from Menasting Terra, a level 54 Alpha Pal in Sakurajima Island’s Northern Rocky Area. It’s marked on your map and it’s near a fast travel point so you’ll spot it fast. The problem is being strong enough to take it down. Catching them with a Legendary Pal Sphere is a good idea since they can be a valuable addition to your team, especially in the PvP arena. It’s not a guaranteed drop though so we recommend going to the Medal Merchant instead.

Is the Ring of Freight worth it?

While fighting a level 54 Pal is a tall ask if you haven’t sunk dozens of hours into the game, the Ring of Freight is a neat reward. Collecting Dog Coins is an easier way of going about it and you’ll get a solid boost to your carrying weight if you purchase this item. It’ll save you from going on multiple trips to your bases to drop off resources in case you find some neat loot on your travels in Palworld. It’ll let you level up faster as well. The game has Supply Drops with random loot now but it hasn’t been confirmed that they drop this unique ring so stick to the two locations mentioned above. Every saved minute counts as it could be better spent on taking down powerful Pals or crafting new items.
