It wouldn’t be a HoYoverse game without a colourful cast of characters to pull. In Zenless Zone Zero, these playable characters are called Agents and we can expect to see 15 of them at launch. Compared to Genshin and Honkai, ZZZ is launching with fewer characters, but we still have a healthy roster to look forward to. Here are all the confirmed Agents in Zenless Zone Zero.
All ZZZ Agents
Zenless Zone Zero will launch with 15 Agents. There are six S-Rank characters on the Standard Banner and there will be two Limited S-Rank characters on the Event Banner during patch 1.0. These characters, also called Agents in Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ), are split between A-Rank and S-Rank. If you’re familiar with HoYo’s other F2P gacha games like Honkai and Genshin, this is simply the difference between 4-star characters and 5-star characters.

Ellen Joe and Zhu Yuan will be the first two limited S-Rank characters added to ZZZ. The first banner will be Ellen Joe, starting on July 4 2024. Zhu Yuan will then have her banner during the second phase, which has been confirmed to be on July 27. These two characters will be featured in version 1.0, with no word on the upcoming 1.1 banners yet.

A-Rank characters are always available from any banner. Some of these characters will be obtained for free while some can only be obtained by pulling them from the Star-Studded Cast Standard Banner or from limited banners.
This will be the full roster when the game officially launches. Naturally, more characters will be added during each patch. We can probably expect to see a new S-Rank character added each month to coincide with new updates, but we currently know don’t the frequency of new characters coming to the game. For reference, Honkai Star Rail launched with 23 characters, so we clearly have fewer in ZZZ. As more Agents are added, we will update this guide.
