When is the Baldur’s Gate 3 patch 7 release window?

Baldur’s Gate 3 patch 7 will be released in September 2024. At the time of writing, there is no specific date locked in, simply the month. The biggest addition brought about in patch 7 of Baldur’s Gate 3 will be the official modding toolkit, letting people mod the game even further to their heart’s content. This release window has been confirmed by Larian in a community update.

In the blog post, Larian said: “With the intention of working through your feedback throughout the summer, it will give us time to polish off Patch 7 ready for release in September”. It continues, “In the meantime, we still have plenty coming your way, including some anniversary extravagance as we look back on the months since release. We’re also still pressing on with the development of an in-game photo mode, crossplay, and more fixes that will arrive later down the line!” As explained in the post, the mod toolkit will be released first on PC and it will then be extended to other platforms, including Mac, PlayStation, and Xbox.

While we wait patiently for more news on patch 7, we now know we have plenty of future mods to look forward to. The modding scene for BG3 is already huge, with plenty of mods available on Nexus. Thanks to the official modding toolkit, we can expect to see swathes of new mods being made, all of which will hopefully have fewer compatibility issues.
