We are very close to the beginning of the next Fortnite season. Epic Games hasn’t revealed many official details as of writing, but this is to be expected as it’s typically the norm that the contents and themes of new acts are revealed on launch day. While we haven’t seen any gameplay or footage yet, Epic Games seem to have revealed the name of Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 ahead of time.
The release date for Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 is just over the horizon as confirmed by newly released teasers for the upcoming episode. The first new battle pass skin seems to have leaked, and Epic Games may have accidentally leaked the Season 3 map, too.
While very little is official about the next act besides its release date, Epic Games has now just confirmed its name judging by their latest post on social media.
Epic Games reveals name of Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3
Epic Games has revealed the name of Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 on Twitter. Taking to the social media platform, the developer has begun promoting #FortniteC5S3Wrecked.
This, of course, indicates that the name of the next upcoming episode of the game is Wrecked. This would make a lot of sense based off leaks and rumors that suggest the game will be descending into chaos with a sort of Armageddon theme brought down by the Greek gods.
In addition, leaked Rocket Racing maps and other leaks have pointed to a Pirates of the Caribbean crossover happening next season, in which the name Wrecked would be appropriate for, too.
Aside from its name and release date, not much else about the fast-approaching new episode has been revealed. Epic Games has confirmed an upcoming massive change in relation to the store, and they have also teased that iconic mobility items may return in Season 3.
As for leaks, more Festival songs from Lady Gaga have leaked online along with fellow popular artists such as Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, and more. Epic Games also seem to have all but confirmed one of the skins for the new battle pass.
A map descended into anarchy and a Pirates of the Caribbean crossover mean Chapter 5 Season 3 could truly be something special. It is set to begin very soon, and we absolutely cannot wait for Epic Games to take us on another wild ride.
