When does Final Fantasy 14 Dawntrail come out?

The Final Fantasy 14 Dawntrail release date is Tuesday, July 2 2024. This release date has been confirmed by Square Enix in a blog post on the game’s official website. Preorders are currently available for the game on all platforms. If you pre-order Dawntrail, you will receive a variety of bonuses and may play the expansion during the early access period.

When does Final Fantasy 14 early access start?

Early access for FF14 Dawntrail will begin on Friday, June 28 2024. This has also been confirmed by Square Enix when the release date was announced. Preordering the game lets you play the game five days early, and this is only here to incentivise people to buy it now.

Final Fantasy 14 Dawntrail new content

As you might expect from the next big expansion to FF14, there will be plenty of new content to jump into. The level cap is being increased once again, now rising from 90 to 100 when Dawntrail launches. Dawntrail will take us to a new continent, away from Eorzea yet again. This time, we’ll be going to a place called Tural, which is a united nation with a plethora of cultures intersecting. In this new land, we can expect to meet new friends, face fearsome foes, and experience unforgettable stories.

New jobs – Pictomancer, Viper, and Beastmaster

It wouldn’t be a FF14 update without a host of new Jobs being added. This time around, we’re getting the Viper and Pictomancer jobs, both of which are DPS-focused roles. Outside of these jobs, a new limited Job will be added in the Beastmaster. The Viper is a melee DPS sporting two swords while the Pictomancer is a ranged DPS role focusing on magic conjured through their paintbrush. Limited Jobs, like the Blue Mage, aren’t the same as the main role Jobs, but they have tons of levelling to get into and unique quests to clear.

New dungeons

New instances will be added to accompany the main story and the end game of Dawntrail. Typically, Square likes to set these new dungeons up as part of the main quest, so you will have to go through them at some point to progress.

New raids – Echoes of Vana’diel and The Arcadion

Similarly to the Ivalice and Nier series of raids in FF14, a brand new crossover raid will be added in Dawntrail, taking us back to Vana’diel. If this name sounds familiar, you too have suffered the painful jank that is Final Fantasy 11, an MMO from a bygone era at this point. How this new raid will shape up remains to be seen, but we will also get another raid called the Arcadion.
