Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 has only been out for a week, but already a lot has changed in the battle royale. Cars have been significantly nerfed, much to the dismay of many in the community, and boogie bombs have been unvaulted. In addition, Epic has confirmed that a “widely-requested throwable object” is returning to Fortnite, and we know exactly what the developer is teasing.

Alongside the launch of Chapter 5 Season 3, Epic is giving away free content. There are free Fortnite items you must grab right now before they expire, and the Epic Games store is giving away a AAA superhero game entirely for free, too. As for future updates, fans are disappointed by the nerfs to cars right now, but the good news is that vehicles are set to receive more mods.

The latest update for Epic Games’ battle royale has unvaulted boogie bombs, and this is either good or bad news depending on whether you enjoy or loathe them. Regardless of which side of the fence you sit, they will be replaced soon with the return of a “widely-requested throwable object”.

EMP grenades are coming back to Fortnite

EMP grenades are coming back to Fortnite. On May 30th, Epic Games revealed a bunch of nerfs to cars that have upset many in the community. The developer also revealed that Boogie Bombs have been unvaulted, which has been another divisive point of contention amongst the fanbase.

In announcing these changes, the FortniteGame Twitter account also mentioned that “Looking ahead, we will bring back a widely-requested electric throwable to replace Boogie Bombs sooooon”. This coincides with Hypex revealing on Twitter that EMP Grenades are coming back to replace Boogie Bombs.

We don’t know exactly when EMP Grenades will return as all Epic Games has mentioned is that it will happen ‘soon’. Naturally, the return of EMP Grenades at the expense of Boogie Bombs has split players.

Reacting to the news on Reddit, the division amongst fans is clear with one comment exclaiming, “This blows. I love boogie bombs,” meanwhile, other comments preach, “Thank god, Boogie Bombs are so f***ng annoying”.

Some fans are also worried about the return of EMP Grenades because of cars. Vehicles have already been massively nerfed, ruining a lot of the season’s fun in the eyes of many players, and the return of EMP Grenades will theoretically make them even weaker.
