Fortnite fans have a lot to anticipate between now and the end of July. Epic has just released a new update adding the fantastic Reload OG mode, but more is set to arrive very, very soon. One of the best aspects of Epic Games’ battle royale is skins, and a leak has revealed the release dates for when new Fortnite skins will join the item shop, including arguably the game’s most anticipated crossover yet.
Epic has released a new OG mode, and many fans are wondering if Reload is a permanent fixture. The good news is that there is no end date provided by Epic, and some more good news is that the start date for the summer event 2024 is imminent. Not only that, but a leak has revealed the full schedule for updates between now and the end of October.
While Reload is a lot of fun, and the annual summer event is something to look forward to very soon, fans are also massively anticipating the huge crossover with Pirates of the Caribbean. Fortunately, a leak has revealed the release date for when Pirates of the Caribbean skins will join the item shop along with an assortment of skins such as more Fallout, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and X-Men.
Release dates for new Fortnite skins joining item shop
Below is the leaked schedule of release dates for when new Fortnite skins will join the item shop:
- VaultBoyMech (Fallout): June 29 ~ July 2
- X-Men: June 28 ~ July 2
- TMNT: June 29 ~ July 1
- Weapon X: July 2 ~ 5
- Raiden: July 8 ~ 11
- Silk Sonic: July 8 ~ 11
- Safety Shark: July 13 ~ 16
- Pirates of the Caribbean: July 19
- J Balvin: July 4 ~ 7
- Alan Wake: July 9 ~ 12
- John Wick: July 19 ~ 22
- Lewis Hamilton: July 10 ~ 12
- FNCS: July 12 ~ 15
All of the above dates come courtesy of Hypex. As mentioned by the prominent leaker, dates could possibly change.
Looking at the above list, there is a lot of fantastic skins set to debut and rejoin the item shop, but easily the biggest is Pirates of the Caribbean. On their YouTube channel, Hypex has shown off all of the Pirates of the Caribbean skins and rewards set to be part of the crossover.
Jack Sparrow is the most obvious skin, but there will also be the following iconic characters:
- Captain Jack Sparrow
- Cursed Jack Sparrow
- Barbosa
- Davy Jones
- Elizabeth Swann
There doesn’t appear to be Will Turner based on the likeness of Orlando Bloom, so that’s disappointing for fans of the character. Although disappointing, at least we’re getting the best trio of the series in Jack Sparrow, Barbosa, and Davy Jones.
