Epic Games has released thousands of cosmetic items in Fortnite since its release. While skins are the most popular, many players enjoy emotes, gliders, and other cosmetics. With the release of Chapter 5, the game developer added many new types of cosmetic items, including Jam Tracks. These items are primarily used in the Fortnite Festival mode, but the latest leak shows that they receive big improvements.

Considering how much new content Fortnite will get this year, it’s no surprise that Epic is working on improving a couple of other aspects of the game. Since many players have complained about the locker, the company should improve it with one of the upcoming updates.

Fortnite Jam Tracks will be usable as Lobby Music according to a new leak

Jam Tracks are mostly used in Fortnite Festival, a new game mode added at the beginning of Chapter 5. Each day, Epic brings out a couple of free tracks, allowing players to use them without paying. However, most of the tracks require a purchase from the Item Shop. This is something that costs 500 V-Bucks, and many players feel that the price is too high.

Hypex, the most popular Fortnite leaker, recently revealed a couple of new things Epic is working on. More specifically, the company is working on a couple of improvements that will make Jam Tracks more popular. At the moment, they can be used in the Battle Royale mode, similar to emotes, but soon, they will be usable in the lobby as well.

The leaker revealed a couple of details regarding the upcoming improvements:

  • Jam Tracks x Lobby Music support
  • Jam Tracks randomizer
  • Custom Jam Tracks playlists

All of these features will make Jam Tracks much more valuable, especially the inclusion of Lobby Music. Unfortunately, the Fortnite leak did not share anything about the potential release date. However, considering that Fortnite Chapter 6 comes out in six months, we might get it then. Epic may even decide to release these improvements in the next season, which is scheduled for mid-August 2024.

Besides new Lobby Music, Epic may also make interface changes in the lobby. The latest Fortnite survey has a couple of questions about this aspect of the game, and it’ll be interesting to see if the development team will do something about it soon.
