Magneto is a bonus skin in the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 Battle Pass. However, the popular Marvel character wasn’t unlockable until Tuesday, July 2. Like other bonus skins, Magneto is unlockable through an exclusive questline that will be available by the end of the season. Besides the skin, Epic Games also released his Mythic item and map changes.

In this article, we will take a look at everything that arrived with today’s Fortnite update. It’s important to note that this is a small content update, meaning that you don’t need to download it. Instead, it will be automatically applied.

Magneto is available with the latest Fortnite update

To unlock Magneto, you need to own the current Fortnite Battle Pass and finish new quests. Considering that the season is scheduled to end on August 16, you have a month and a half to add the Marvel character to your locker. Besides the skin, you will also unlock a couple of other cosmetics through the questline, including an additional style for Magneto.

Today’s Fortnite update also brought a new Mythic item, Magneto’s Mythic Gauntlets. The item was first shown in a Season 3 trailer, and you can obtain it by opening supply drops and chests. The Mythic item is not available in competitive modes.

The Metallica collaboration ended in Fortnite Battle Royale, meaning that Ride the Lightning item is no longer available in the game.

Finally, Epic released the X-Men Bunker on the island. This is likely a hint that a new Wolverine skin will come out within a few days. You can find the bunker south of Grand Clacier.

Epic Games is currently on a summer break, meaning that we won’t get any major updates over the next three weeks. However, the Fortnite x Pirates of the Caribbean collaboration will come out on July 19. We may also get another smaller content update in the meantime, although this hasn’t been confirmed by the game developer.
