Fortnite will soon get another game-changing feature, leak shows

Fortnite is constantly evolving thanks to its frequent updates. Epic Games releases at least one major update every month, adding new content with it. Considering that this strategy has worked well for the past six and a half years, we don’t expect the game developer to abandon it anytime soon. Due to this, it’s no surprise that a Fortnite leak shows another game-changing feature that is currently in development.

Each Fortnite season brings big changes to the game, while new chapters are massive. According to the leaked Fortnite roadmap, Epic will release Chapter 6 in December 2024. The new chapter will bring huge changes to the game, from map changes to new items. In addition, it appears that we will get another movement feature that will be a real game-changer.

Fortnite players will be able to go prone, the leak shows

Epic Games has released hundreds of Fortnite updates over the past few years, making the game feel fresh and new. Some of the biggest features that were added were swimming, sprinting, and mantling. All of these have been received well by the community, which is why the game developer will keep improving them and adding new ones.

According to Hypex, the development team is working on adding a prone mechanic. Considering that the Fortnite leaker has a good track record, this is likely true. Unfortunately, the release date of the new feature hasn’t been revealed yet.

Hypex believes that Epic could release the new feature either in Chapter 6 or in a new game mode. With the new chapter coming in late 2024, going prone might be just a few months away from us. However, the game developer may also decide to put the feature in an open-world mode that is currently in development. If this turns out to be the case, the feature may not come out by 2025.
