It’s no secret that Quidditch is a game that has some of the silliest sets of rules out there, so it’ll be interesting to see how that translates when the Harry Potter Quidditch Champions release date rolls around. As confirmed during the Summer Game Fest, we’re going to get another trip to Hogwarts to enjoy the local pastime.
When is the Quidditch Champions release date?
The Harry Potter Quidditch Champions release date is September 3, 2024. This release date has been confirmed by Warner Bros. Games during the Summer Game Fest in June. Alongside the confirmed release date, we also saw some gameplay, and purchase bonuses for those who own Hogwarts Legacy.
Harry Potter Quidditch Champions gameplay details
As you might expect, Quidditch Champions puts you in the broom saddle as you take part in Quidditch matches. There are several modes in this game, and you can choose to play solo or with friends in PvP or team-based matches. In the match, you must pick your position – Chaser, Seeker, Keeper, or Beater –depending on the play style you want to go for. The more you play each role, the more it levels up and becomes better. From what we’ve seen, there will be several maps to enjoy, including the iconic Hogwarts arena we know.
Quidditch Champions features a Career Mode, which sees you start from the humble setting of the Weasley Burrow to the dizzying heights of the Quidditch World Cup. You can tackle Career mode by yourself or with friends in online co-op, with three other people. Exhibition matches are quickfire games where you can set the team, map, and difficulty you want. Further to this, you can also play PvP modes playing online against other people. While you can play as your own character, you can also play as Harry, Ron, Hermione, and other characters from the films. Finally, we can give Malfoy the glory he deserves by making him a Quidditch champion.
Harry Potter Quidditch Champions platforms
When it launches, Quidditch Champions will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam and Epic Games. At the moment, it is unclear if the game will feature cross-play for online multiplayer between consoles and PC, or from PS5 to Xbox Series X for the online co-op modes.
