Arrowhead Game Studios is currently on summer vacation, with many not expecting any new content or updates to come to Helldivers 2 this month. But, it looks like some developers are still working behind the scenes on fixing issues with the game.
The Helldivers 2 Community Manager Baskinator took to Discord to announce that the Super Packing Methodology Ship Module has finally been fixed saying,
“We fixed Superior Packing Methodology! We deployed a fix to our backend that has solved the issue with Superior Packing Methodology, and it is now functioning as intended. Happy helldiving!”
The Superior Packing Methodology is one of the best Ship Modules that can be unlocked due to it “resulting in increased supply box capacity.” For many months it hasn’t been granting the upgrade effect that it was supposed to. The developers did try to fix it back in April and the fix was included in the patch notes on April 29th, but it turned out to be incorrect.
Then it was included in the June 13th patch notes, but players once again figured out quickly that the effect wasn’t being granted. Now, after three months of trying it has finally been fixed and is working as intended in the game.
Since the developers are currently on summer vacation and Arrowhead Game Studios is in “semi-hiatus,” it was unexpected to see the issue be fixed as many believed that no new content or updates would be coming to Helldivers 2 until August.
Although this is great news, don’t expect any major updates to come over the next month. Instead, players will have to continue fighting the Galactic War through the Major Orders that take place every 3-5 days.
