There are still over 200 unexplored planets in Helldivers 2, and it will likely be many years before we get to play on them all. Not all of these will be controlled by the Automatons or Terminids as new threats, such as The Illuminate, will appear in the Galactic War over time. It has been a while since we have gotten a new planet to explore, but after it was recently teased in promo images, players have been eager to explore it.

The Viper Commandos Warbond gave us a first look at a brand new jungle biome in Helldivers 2, marking the first time this type of terrain would be available in the game. It has finally been added to the game, and Terminid fighters are in luck because this is where it can be found in the galaxy. With it being a brand new planet, we will likely see it featured in a Major Order soon, giving players a good opportunity to dive into Gacrux. But, many players have already tried it out as it is currently under attack by the Terminids, with approximately 20% of the player base currently serving Liber-tea.

Gacrux’s jungle theme works well, with it featuring both sunny skies and a darker rainy weather system. There are plenty of swamps to avoid and trees to use for cover as you fend off the hordes of Terminids. It is one of the more fun landscapes that has been added to the game in recent times and I can see it being a huge hit with players.
