Each day, Helldivers 2 players can complete a Personal Order, which will grant 15 Medals. This is alongside the Major Orders that typically last between 3-5 days. Today’s Personal Order calls for players to “Kill 5,” but Helldivers are confused about what they are supposed to be killing five of.
According to Helldivers.io it states “Kill 5 Automatons” but players on Reddit have confirmed that it should be “Kill 5 Hulks.” This is an odd choice of enemy to due to the current Major Order being focused on the Terminids.
Hulks are the most intimidating Automatons in Helldivers 2. This large and heavily armored robot comes in three variations. The first is the Bruiser that comes equipped with an Autocannon and Rocket Launcher. The second is the Obliterator which carries a Rocket Pod. Finally, is the Scorcher that uses a Flamethrower and Buzzsaw.
You will typically encounter at least one in most Automaton missions over difficulty 4, with higher difficulties usually having them spawn more frequently. To easily defeat them, aim for the head that is visible in the middle of its armor. You can also shoot it in the back to kill it because it only has light armor to protect it. If you’re struggling to defeat it, you can shoot the arms to disable its weapons which will make it easier to defeat without having to worry about its firepower.
Although they are tough enemies to defeat, earning the 15 Medals is worth the effort, especially as the Viper Commandos Warbond was recently released so there are plenty of new items to unlock.
