There hasn’t been much new content added to Helldivers 2 recently, especially when it comes to Stratagems and Ship Modules. The last Stratagem to be released was the latest Exosuit Mech and there have been no new Ship Modules since the Polar Patriots Warbond. This has left players with their resources, such as Samples, maxed out and nothing to spend them on.
U/Ho-oh_and_friends took to Reddit to plead with Arrowhead Game Studios to add new Stratagems and Ship Modules to spend resources on, claiming that they are “gravely needed,” and pointing out that some players have left Helldivers 2 due to there being nothing new to work towards. “The need of ways to spend resources, is gravely needed. A lot of players I know, are giving me the “I be back when there’s more to do,” they said.
The player then lists some of the Ship Modules that the community has created that Arrowhead Game Studios could implement into the game including;
- Ship Module to hire new crew
- Monthly hazard pay where your Destroyer will stay an extra minute after timer runs out
- Cargo bay expansion, so we can walk down and inspect the Eagle
- Pelican weapon upgrades
- Tribute to Super Earth
If you’ve got lots of Samples to use up, don’t expect to be able to spend them anytime soon as Arrowhead Game Studios is currently on a six week summer vacation so there will be no new updates coming to Helldivers 2. There will still be Major Orders to take part in to keep players engaged, but some are worried that the dwindling player count could only get worse with no new content being added for an extended period of time.
Before they went on summer vacation, the brand new Viper Commandos Warbond was released, taking players to the jungle with a new biome to explore. Hopefully, the developers will have something big lined up for when they return, maybe The Illuminate?
