Arrowhead Game Studios has announced the latest Helldivers 2 Premium Warbond titled Viper Commandos, bringing Predator vibes to the game with jungle-themed cosmetics. One of the more interesting weapons included is the Throwing Knife, which will replace the Grenade when used. But some players are wondering, how will it work against the Automatons?

The new Viper Commandos Warbond includes a Throwing Knife alongside it’s various other weapons and utility items. While this looks to be effective against the Terminids, many are wondering how it will be used against robots.

Although Helldivers 2 is a sci-fi game, it does still try and retain a sense of realism in it’s mechanics. If this is to be the case, how will a Throwing Knife penetrate the thick metal armor of the Automatons?

Unless Arrowhead Game Studios is just going to have it act similarly to a Grenade and do a set amount of damage, the Throwing Knife could be useless against one of the two factions. Arrowhead Game Studios releasing an item that is useless against the Automatons wouldn’t be surprising as the robots often neglected and overlooked in favor of the Terminids by both the developers and players.

The new Viper Commandos Premium Warbond is set to be released on June 13th and it will cost 1,000 Super Credits, the same as previous Warbonds. With it adding new items to the game, there is always a chance that it could shake up the meta.
