Guerrilla and Studio Gobo have announced the Lego Horizon Adventures release window, bringing a fresh spin on the Horizon games, complete with co-op multiplayer. The LEGO games, like the Star Wars iterations, put familiar characters in a playful and light-hearted story, and this time we’re enjoying one inspired by the events of the world of Horizon.

When is the LEGO Horizon Adventures release window?

LEGO Horizon Adventures release window has been set for ‘Holiday 2024’. This window was confirmed by Sony during the Summer Game Fest in June. With no firm date chosen, we can probably expect LEGO Horizon Adventures to launch before Christmas this year. From the trailer, we’ve seen a bunch of gameplay, including the co-op mode and the combat.

LEGO Horizon Adventures gameplay details

As with the usual LEGO games we know and love, we can expect to play through several set levels, collect important items, and perform plenty of platforming. As mentioned, this game takes place in the Horizon universe, and it is set in the distant future where land is made of LEGO bricks and machine dinosaurs roam the land. The story effectively follows the events of the main game but is set in the whimsical LEGO world you can bring a friend along for the ride this time.

According to Sony, as per a blog post: “LEGO Horizon Adventures has been designed for two-player action without the need for split-screen, providing an opportunity for family and friends to develop connections through collaborative play”. You can do much more than adventure and take out dinosaurs, with plenty of customisation options you might expect from a creative LEGO game, such as customising the village of Mother’s Heart with new buildings and ornaments.
