McDonald's Canada has poured cold water on hopes of seeing the fast food chain's creepy clown mascot, Ronald McDonald, in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Quite why anyone would think Ronald would appear in a Smash Bros game eludes me completely, but there's been rumours saying he's involved. I guess he would make an interesting character; he could have a burger-launcher and spill Coke Zero all over the place or…something.
Still, one Twitter user was so excited by the prospect he took it straight to McDonald's Canada to find out for sure. In short? No, Ronald McDonald is not in Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is due out exclusively for Nintendo Switch on December 7. While Ronald isn't in the mix, Nintendo has confirmed it'll have five post-launch characters out in the coming months, the lineup of which has already been decided.
The company recently confirmed in its latest Direct that the main roster has been completed with the addition of Ken and Incineroar.
