The PlayStation Plus July Essential games are now available to claim and download. It is a decent month of offerings, especially with Borderlands 3 as the headliner. While the Essential games are now available to grab, the reveal date for the PS Plus July 2024 Extra and Premium games is only a week away. Six games are confirmed to be leaving the Extra tier, meanwhile, Sony has revealed a free pack arriving later this month for all subscribers.
July is an interesting month for gamers. The First Descendant has come out and is now available to download for free on PS4 and PS5, meanwhile, Sony’s PS5 and PC multiplayer beta for Concord comes out soon, too. We also have Tomb Raider arriving in Dead By Daylight, and the release time is set for Zenless Zone Zero.
While all of the above is exciting, more additions for PS Plus Extra and Premium will soon be announced. The reveal date is a week away, and Genshin Impact fans can look forward to some free goodies this month.
PS Plus Extra and Premium July 2024 games reveal date
The reveal date for the PS Plus Extra and Premium July 2024 games is July 10th. Sony usually reveals the Extra and Premium games on a Wednesday one week after the release of the Essentials. The July 2024 Essentials were given away on July 2nd, hence the expectation that Sony will pull the curtain aside next Wednesday.
After the games have been announced, they should come out to play on July 16th. In regard to the August 2024 Essentials, they are expected to be identified on July 31st with an official launch on August 6th.
To avoid missing out, make sure to claim the current monthly games before they expire. Borderlands 3 is the headliner as a fantastic experience, but there’s also the brutal NHL 24 as well as the much-beloved Among Us.
PS Plus July 2024 free pack
On July 16th, PS Plus subscribers who play Genshin Impact will be able to claim the following free pack of goodies:
- Primogems × 160
- Fragile Resin × 4
- Hero’s Wit × 20
- Mystic Enhancement Ore × 30
- Mora × 150,000
The above Genshin Impact bundle will be available for all subscribers. If you’re not subscribed to PS Plus, Sony is currently conducting a 12-month subscription offer until July 10th.
If you purchase any 12-month membership before July 10th, you will be rewarded with free movie credits to purchase films from the Sony Pictures Core app. There’s no specific number of movie credits, but Sony says the “Number of movie credits varies based on plan and membership status”.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is fantastic and definitely worth playing before its departure, meanwhile, Saints Row 4 Re-Elected is goofy brilliance and way better than the horrid reboot that came out in 2022.
