June has been a fantastic month for PlayStation subscribers. The Essential offerings were merely okay, but Sony has added some great games for Extra and Premium including more PS2 classics. While it’s been a good month for PS Plus subscribers, many are hoping that July will be even better. Here you will find the PS Plus July 2024 games reveal date along with exciting leaks and nine games known to be leaving.

As mentioned, it’s been a fantastic month for the PlayStation community. Sony added the best ever Tomb Raider to PS Plus, with it also purchasable from the PSN store. LEGO Horizon Adventures was announced at Summer Game Fest with a simultaneous release on PC and Nintendo Switch, and the 10/10 Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC is now out for everyone to enjoy.

All of the above is fantastic, but soon Sony will pull the curtain aside on the PS Plus July 2024 additions. One game has already possibly leaked, and there is a big departure set for next month.

PS Plus July 2024 games reveal date

The PS Plus July 2024 Essential games should be revealed on June 26th . The next batch of Essential offerings is always revealed one Wednesday before the next crop of announced giveaways come out. Sony’s PSN store confirms that the next Essential selection will be released on July 2nd.

As for Extra and Premium, they should be announced on July 10th. Sony typically announces the Extra and Premium additions on Wednesday one week after the release of the Essentials.

PS Plus July 2024 leaks

A possible leak for PS Plus in July 2024 is the arrival of TimeSplitters as a PS2 classic. This comes courtesy of Gematsu, who have reported on Twitter that the game has been rated for PS4 and PS5 in Taiwan.

Although not guaranteed to happen, Gematsu similarly leaked other PS Plus additions before their announcement such as UP by finding game ratings in Taiwan. Assuming TimeSplitters is correct, it would be another PS2 classic part of Premium, but it should be available to purchase independently from the PSN store similar to other PS1 and PS2 classics.

Games leaving

Below are all nine games known to be leaving PS Plus next month:

  • SpongeBob Cosmic Shake (Essential – Jul 2nd)
  • Streets of Rage 4 (Essential – Jul 2nd)
  • AEW Fight Forever (Essential – Jul 2nd)
  • Tiny Tina’s Wonderland (Extra – 16th)
