Summer Games Fest is here, where dozens of new games will be revealed ahead of their launches over the coming months and into the next year. There are also many other showcases taking place over the weekend, with the likes of Microsoft, Ubisoft, and Nintendo all hosting their own dedicated presentations to reveal what they have been working on. But for now, all eyes are on Sega as Sonic X Shadow Generations release date has been announced.
Sonic X Shadows Generations follows on from the first game from 2011 by combining both 2D and 3D levels when it launches on October 25th. Players will be able to explore Green Hill Zone and defeat Dr. Robotnik with Sonic, Shadow, and Metal Sonic across two epic adventures.
In a surprising twist, the game will be available on all current platforms, with it releasing on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. Players who pre-order Sonic X Shadow Generations will receive a Sonic Adventure Legacy skin and Gerald Robotnik’s Journal detailing Shadow’s creation.
