E3 is sadly dead and buried, but, thankfully, in its absence we have Summer Game Fest hosted by Geoff Keighley. This is the biggest event of the year for fans of video games besides the Game Awards in fall. Here you will find a Summer Game Fest 2024 start date and time countdown so you know exactly when it will begin, and you will also find more exciting leaks and rumors that have recently surfaced online.

June is a massive month for fans of video games. PS Plus June 2024 is set to introduce some great PS2 classics for subscribers, and don’t forget Ubisoft Forward will be providing showings of Star Wars Outlaws and Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Not only that, but we also have Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC set to release on June 21st.

Yes, we do have a fantastic month ahead of us, and it all begins with Summer Game Fest 2024. The start date and time countdown is nearly over with, and you will want to get plenty of snacks ready to watch the event live either with friends or on your own lonesome.

Summer Game Fest 2024 leaks

We’re previously covered some exciting leaks and rumors for Summer Game Fest 2024. These leaks include the reveal of a new Gears of War, along with a price and the beginning of pre-orders for the highly-anticipated Black Myth Wukong.

Since then, more leaks and rumors have emerged. LEGO Horizon Adventures leaked in May, and according to Billbil_kun, via dealabs, it will be part of Summer Game Fest. Not only that, but it will reportedly simultaneously launch on both PS5 and PC.

In addition to LEGO Horizon Adventures, Billbil_kun claims there will soon be reveal of a game called Clair Obscur Expedition 33. It’s not explicitly leaked for SGF, but Billbil_kun says it will be revealed soon and that it’s a new ambitious turn-based RPG with real-time mechanics.

Thanks to the official summergamefest Twitter account, we know that 2K are revealing the next entry in a beloved series. While fans have been hopeful of the much-rumored Bioshock 4, all signs point to Borderlands 4. Leaker Kurakasis has said there will be no Mafifa 4, meanwhile, a forum on exputer claims the 2K big announcement is indeed Borderlands 4.

As for the Xbox Games Showcase, renowned leaker Jeff Grubb says Microsoft’s event will be two-hours long with 30 games included. And these 30 games will include titles never seen before.

Update: Jeff Grubb teased to Kinda Funny that Dragon Age Dreadwolf wouldn’t be at at the Xbox showcase, but Dragon Age would. This clip was shared to the gamingleaksandrumors subreddit by ScottyKNJ. With the news from BioWare now, this was a clear reference to Dreadwolf being renamed The Veilguard. BioWare has announced this name change and that we will see 15-minutes of gameplay on June 11th.
