Despite any faults you have with The Finals, there’s no denying that the game is stuffed with amazing cosmetics. There’s an assortment of amazing skins that truly make the game stand out. The item shop is always rotated with each weekly update, and Embark has added a new item that is truly must-buy for The Finals community thanks to an incredible feature.

You can check out the patch notes for update 3.3.0. The biggest addition from this update is the new Ruby rank that has been anticipated ever since it was teased by Embark. We don’t know the rewards for landing in the top 500 players as of yet, but they will delivered at the end of Season and Embark has said there will be Ruby skins.

While the Ruby rank is the biggest addition from update 3.3.0, the update also added a new gameboy backpack called Handheld Heropack. This new backpack added to The Finals store is an instant must-buy thanks to an incredible feature perhaps unbeknownst to most players.

The Finals gameboy backpack is actually playable

In The Finals update 3.3.0, Embark added a gameboy-esque backpack to the in-game store called the Handheld Heropack. While it looks a sweet cosmetic, the genius of it is that the gameboy is actually playable.

As noted on Reddit, all you need to do to play it is inspect the backpack in the store. The goal of the game to catch falling pizzas while avoiding the other object.

In addition to a playable game, Embark has added a leaderboard for it. You can play the game and check where your score ranks compared to 256 other players. As of writing, first place has a score of 2,389, which is well ahead of second place at 867.

As noted by many comments in the Reddit thread, this is really cool and is awesome work from Embark. The game has an assortment of amazing cosmetics, but this may be the very best due to having an actual functioning game part of its design.

In the store, the Handheld Heropack costs 400 multibucks. You can buy 500 Multibucks for £4.19, so it’s not extremely overpriced especially when compared to lesser cosmetics in many other multiplayer experiences.
