Although The Finals Season 3 has had some great additions, there is a large number of vocal fans who are not happy with the current status of the game. Much of the online discontent stems from Terminal Attack becoming the mode for Ranked in the place of Cashout. While this isn’t changing anytime soon, fans have shared how they believe The Finals can be “saved”.

You can check out the update 3.3.0 patch notes to see the latest changes and additions from Embark. The update has added a must-buy item to the in-game store, and it also added the long-awaited Ruby rank. Rewards for the Ruby rank will be given at the end of the season, and Embark has said there will be Ruby skins.

The addition of the Ruby rank is good, but many fans were left disappointed by this week’s update. While venting their frustration with the status of The Finals, fans have shared their ideas for how to save the game and its core mode, Cashout.

How The Finals can be “saved”

Reacting to the update 3.3.0 patch notes on The Finals’ subreddit, many fans were left disappointed by the lack of significant fixes and changes. There’s no balance changes mentioned at all in the patch notes, nor is there anything of massive significance beyond the addition of the Ruby rank.

Ever since Season 3 was announced at Summer Game Fest, fans have been bummed by Terminal Attack becoming the mode for Ranked. Cashout has been moved to World Tour, and this is the biggest bone of contention with Season 3 amongst the community.

In explaining why Cashout has been removed from Ranked, there is the suggestion from Embark that the mode will return sometime in the future. The developer has also made it verbally clear that they regard Cashout as the core mode of the game.

Unfortunately, many fans feel that Cashout has become an afterthought to Terminal Attack. Reacting to the update 3.3.0 patch notes on Reddit, one disgruntled fan commented, “No indication as to what they’re doing with World Tour… They’ve relegated their main mode to a sideshow with the allusion to it being a whole new thing and then left us hanging”.

In response to a comment asking what Embark can do with World Tour to make it attractive, one user said, “Just add ranked World Tour and the game is saved, so idiotic what the devs have decided to do”.

Many users agreed with the sentiment of adding Ranked to World Tour with comments such as, “Yep. I quit this season, but if they make world tour ranked I’m in-game instantly,” and “Ranked cashout is the only way I return to this game”.

While one suggestion is to add Ranked to World Tour, the main suggestion from players is just to revert back to the system that was in place for seasons 1 and 2. Fans desperately want Cashout to become the Ranked mode once more, but players also want to see bigger updates with more substantial components.
