The Finals community have a very exciting month ahead of them. We are officially in the last week before the beginning of Season 3. Marketing for the next chapter hasn’t begun as of yet, but it is right around the corner. The CNS have leaked new material online, and this ‘leak’ possibly reveals the new map location for The Finals Season 3.
Although marketing hasn’t begun, there are plenty of exciting known additions to anticipate for Season 3. Embark has confirmed the addition of a new comms feature wanted since day one, and they have also all-but-confirmed a new ruby rank along with ruby skins.
In addition, although nothing has been teased as of yet, we will be getting fresh weapons along with gadgets and gizmos for every class. There will be a new map for The Finals, too, and its location could possibly be Japan judging by a recent leak from the CNS.
The Finals Season 3 map location could be Japan
Nothing is official right now, but there are theories that the new map location for The Finals Season 3 could be Japan. Embark hasn’t confirmed anything as of yet, but this theory arises from a leaked soundtrack called Petals In The Wind.
It’s not a true leak in the proper definition as it’s from the CNS subreddit. It’s another tease from Embark, and it seemingly points to a Japanese theme because it sounds distinctively Japanese as you can hear in the embedded Reddit post down below:
It sounds distinctively Japanese, and the title Petals in the Wind seems like a reference to cherry blossom petals. Again, it’s not official that we are heading to Japan, but that seems to be the direction according to the soundtrack leaked by the CNS.
In addition to this soundtrack, YouTuber ottr has referenced drawings of koi fishes being spotted around maps in-game. This is a special and iconic fish in Japan, so again, the Japanese theme is hinted at by Embark. Not only that, but the first season 3 teaser could possibly be a rising sun which, again, would point to Japan.
We also haven’t been to Japan yet, but a Samurai has previously been depicted in splash art as well as in a closed alpha trailer. Again, it’s not official that the new map will be situated in Japan, but it certainly seems that a Japanese theme is on the cusp.
