The Finals is a fantastic multiplayer experience and its second chapter has been a lot of fun. However, we are now moving to Japan for Season 3. There is a lot of potential for this upcoming chapter to massively improve upon the last, and, fortunately, we don’t have much longer left to wait. We’ve had the luxury of getting hands on The Finals Season 3. In our preview, we praised the new weapons introduced for each of the classes, and we also praised the scale and verticality of the new map set in Japan. All of it promises to entertain fans who have been with the game since day one as well as lapsed fans who have become a bit jaded with the experience.
There is a lot to look forward, and the release date and time countdown is nearly over.
The Finals Season 3 release date
The release date for The Finals Season 3 is June 13th. This was confirmed by Embark at Summer Game Fest during their reveal.
As mentioned, there are host of new gadgets and weapons being introduced for each of the classes, and there will be a new battle pass with 96 rewards, many of them free. There were ‘leaks’ pointing to a new map set in Japan, and this was confirmed at Summer Game Fest with the grand reveal of Kyoto 1568.
In addition to a new map and fresh set of Japanese-themed weapons, Embark is introducing significant changes to Ranked. Cashout is being removed from Ranked, and Terminal Attack is becoming the defacto mode to create a “more tactical and competitive experience“.
When does The Finals Season 3 start?
The expected start time for The Finals Season 3 is 2AM PT/5AM ET/10AM BST on June 13th. Embark hasn’t announced at what time the new season will start, but updates typically come out at 10AM BST.
If it doesn’t launch at the above hours similar to most updates during Season 2, we’d expect Season 3 to begin by 5AM PT/8AM ET/1PM BST. Again, no launch hour has been shared by Embark as of writing.
