The First Descendant is a brand new PVE looter shooter from Nexon Games, similar to titles such as Destiny 2 and Warframe. Despite a rocky start due to an issue with players not receiving in-game purchases, which has now been resolved, the game has been a hit with hundreds of thousands of concurrent players looting and shooting their way to victory. But there is still one game that is standing tall above some of the most popular games, Banana.

Banana was released last month as a simple clicker game that periodically grants marketplace items, with some of these being listed for large amounts of money, going into the four figures. Because of this, thousands of gamers have been using macros to leave the game idly clicking 24 hours a day with the hope of getting one of these expensive items that they can sell on the marketplace. This has caused Banana to consistently be in the top 5 most played games on Steam, peaking at 917,272, making it the 8th most concurrently played game in Steam history.

Despite currently losing out to a banana, The First Descendant is beating out many heavy hitters, including Team Fortress 2, PUBG, GTA V, Rust, and its main competitor Destiny 2, which recently saw its latest expansion, The Final Shape, launch last month.

Only time will tell whether The First Descendant proves to be a success, but it has been a hit with players so far.
