Helldivers 2 keeps the developers on their toes as they are regularly facing many issues in the game that seemingly appears out of nowhere, with the fixes usually causing a new issue. The Spear is once again in the spotlight after having just been recently fixed. Now, it is causing new issues that will crash the game and kick the player from a mission.
The Helldivers 2 Community Manager Twinbeard took to Discord to announce that the Spear currently has issues saying “Yeah, there are crashes affiliated with the Spear right now. We’re looking into it. Seems the Spear is cursed.”
This isn’t the first time that the Spear has seen major issues, with it currently causing crashes in some bizarre circumstances, such as hitting a certain enemy on the side of the body. There have even been reports of it crashing the game just by having it in the inventory, so the best thing to do right now is to not use it until it is fixed via a hotfix patch.
With the Spear causing major issues, some players are also calling for better communication from Arrowhead Game Studios as it was only acknowledged in the Discord’s general chat room, meaning the message soon geta buried in a sea of chatter rather than being posted in the announcements. Many are calling for the developers to relay the information in-game so every player is aware, which would minimize crashes while also either hotfixing an update or disabling it until it is fixed.
