Last month was a very unsuccessful month for Helldivers 2 players. Putting the real-world issues aside, such as the PSN controversy, when it came to the in-game Major Orders, there were multiple failures largely when the focus was the Automatons. Thankfully, players have been clawing it back over the past few weeks, including completing the Dark Fluid drilling Major Order which resulted in Meridia being destroyed and becoming a black hole. The attention then turned to the Automatons and players were able to work together to beat a tough Major Order by liberating multiple robot planets.

Following the success of the previous Major Order, which saw players liberate Wasat, the attention remains on the Automatons for the time being. After recovering Data One and discovering valuable information, the robot army has retreated to Cyberstan so we must continue to take the fight to them.

After the black hole event, it is surprising that things have shifted gears to the Automatons, as we know this story arc eventually leads to The Illuminate. The Automatons may have information on the futuristic faction and when our scientists finally uncover everything on Data One this is revealed.

This new Major Order comes just days before the first update in a while, which is set to change and fix over 100 issues with the game. The new Viper Commandos Warbond will also be released on the same day, bringing multiple Jungle-themed cosmetics to the game.

With the new Viper Commandos Warbond we will see vehicle skins come to the game for the first time as well as the usual new items and cosmetics. It will be interesting to see whether anything in the Warbond will shake up the meta. To find out how they stack up and whether they’re viable, we highly recommend checking out our Helldivers 2 best weapons guide and best armor guide to ensure victory against the Automatons and Terminids.
