Helldivers 2 players have been on a roll recently, with multiple Major Orders in a row being completed successfully, including recently destroying Meridia and turning it into a black hole. Now our attention has been redirected to the Automatons and we once again have the opportunity to unlock the Anti-Tank Mines Stratagem, but to do so could be considered immoral.
In a post on X, Arrowhead Game Studios announced the next Major Order, which gives players the choice between saving survivors and finally unlocking the Anti-Tank Mines.
“MAJOR ORDER: Helldivers, a difficult decision lies ahead. Will you save the trapped survivors on Vernen Wells or the raw ingredients for the MD-17 Anti-Tank Mines on Marfark?”
Arrowhead Game Studios has tried to give players the Anti-Tank Mines during multiple Major Orders, but the community has always chosen other weapons, such as the Airburst Rocket Launcher. Now with it being the only weapon on offer, it will be interesting to see whether it is finally unlocked.
One thing to note, that players usually forget until it is too late, is that we can save both planets and unlock both rewards. So even if the community chooses to save the survivors we can still get the Mines. Arrowhead Game Studios hasn’t mentioned any reward we will receive for saving the survivors, except perhaps a sense of morality. But, many players are theorizing that we will receive a new Stratagem for our efforts that has yet to be announced.
It will be interesting to see which direction the community goes and whether the Anti-Tank Mines are enticing enough to take the risk.
