We are in the final act of Valorant Episode 8. This episode has largely been fantastic thanks to the addition of Clove in Act 2, but there is more set to arrive before the launch of Episode 9. Before the next chapter of the game begins, Riot has released a brand new update, and the Valorant update 8.10 patch notes include a couple of agent fixes along with changes to basic training.

The Valorant VCT Masters Shanghai tournament has begun, and, even if you’re not a fan of eSports, it’s a significant tourney because it will reveal a brand new map. In addition to this new map, Embark has confirmed that we will finally get another map rotation in early June to coincide with the release of the fresh battlefield.

While we still have to wait a little longer for the new map to be revealed and come out, right now fans can check out the patch notes for the newly released update 8.10.

Valorant update 8.10 patch notes

Below are the Valorant update 8.10 patch notes:

Progression updates:

Basic training:

  • We are releasing an update to our Welcome Contract for new players! The new structure includes clearer missions and milestones to help you navigate the New Player Experience with a bit more guidance before your Ranked climb.
  • The Basic Training Event will appear similar to other Events, allowing you to view your progress, understand your goals at each milestone, and complete them to earn rewards to jumpstart your VALORANT experience.
  • If you have previously completed the Welcome Contract, you will not see the Basic Training Event (don’t worry, you have already earned all the same rewards!).
  • If you are partially complete with the Welcome Contract, your previously earned rewards will be reflected in the Basic Training Event when it comes online, and you will be able to proceed through Basic Training, earning XP toward your Battlepass.

Bug fixes:

Agents:

  • Fixed an issue where shots fired immediately after exiting Cypher’s Spycam (E) would bypass the weapon’s raise animation and not deal damage. The weapon raise animation is now played for its full duration.
  • Fixed issues where the timer for Clove’s Pick-Me-Up (C) could be restarted which would allow Clove to have more time than intended to activate the ability.

All of the above patch notes come courtesy of a press release. As for future updates, we know of duelists who will be receiving nerfs and buffs in 8.11. On the game’s official YouTube channel, Riot Games has uploaded a developer update informing fans of their future plans and goals for the multiplayer epic.
