XDefiant is finally available for everyone to play and it has quickly become one of the most popular multiplayer first-person shooters in the market. Ubisoft has shared their plans for the future which includes four seasons in year 1. Each of these seasons will introduce a new faction, and an XDefiant leaker claims we are getting an Assassin’s Creed faction along with other famous Ubisoft properties.

In addition to this free reward, Ubisoft has also confirmed that they will be nerfing overpowered snipers thanks to masses of complaints since day one of the game’s launch.
While balance changes are always important, what will truly keep players coming back for more is new content. We know that we are set get four seasons and four factions throughout year 1, and one of these factions will be Assassin’s Creed according to a prominent leaker.
XDefiant leak shows Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry factions
XDefiant is getting an Assassin’s Creed faction in year 1 according to leaker AgainTX. On Twitter, the leaker claims season 3 will be Assassin’s Creed themed with the following list of content:
- Two maps based on Odyssey and Valhalla
- Hidden Dagger
- DMR
- Famas
- LMG
It’s noted by the leaker that the aforementioned abilities “could easily change,” so they are not definitive. Season 1 is currently pegged to begin around July 2nd, and Ubisoft’s roadmap says each Season will last three months. Presuming Ubisoft keeps up with this timeframe, Season 2 should begin in October followed by Assassin’s Creed and Season 3 in January 2025.
While the prospect of Assassin’s Creed is exciting, there’s other iconic Ubisoft properties that will apparently join XDefiant. According to AgainTX, we are set to get the following crossovers for seasons 2 and 4:
Season 2 – Far Cry New Dawn:
- SPAS?
- PP19?
- SASG?
- Buzzsaw as a ultimate
- Waterfront
- Signal
- Map yet to be confirmed.
Season 4 – Ghost Recon (could change):
- C4s
- Forest / Cave Themed maps
- SRSA (Sniper)
- Wolf Blood
- Invisible and un-targetable by electronic or AI based skills and gadgets
- Drones
None of this is official as nothing has been confirmed by Ubisoft. It would be fantastic to see collaborations with these famous Ubisoft properties, but whether they happen remains to be seen.
