XDefiant launched last week and has already been a huge hit with players, with many jumping into Ubisoft’s latest free-to-play FPS title as an alternative to games such as Call of Duty. Like many other FPS games, XDefiant does have its share of issues, and many aspects need balancing, including one ability that many are calling “wall hacks.”

U/idrink2muchman took to Reddit to discuss the Intel Suit and how it should be nerfed to not allow the whole team to be able to see the marked player saying,

“Being able to see the revealed enemies as the one who pulses or uses the ability is cool. But the whole team being able to see enemies when it’s not even an Ult is crazy. If my screen shows ‘revealed by intel suit’ I’m getting jumped from multiple angles and am just hoping to get one before I die.”

A squad of operatives in tactical gear are featured. Text descriptions detail four abilities: Sonar Goggles, Digital Ghillie Suit, Intel Suit, and Low Profile. Experience the action in "Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Echelon," part of the XDefiant universe.

Many players agreed that the ability is too overpowered, with u/Superbone1 calling it “legal wallhacks.” U/Zomg_its_Alex says that it should be part of the Ultimate Ability saying “This is so overpowered. It should be part of the ultimate ability. There’s no counter besides getting lucky you’re not close enough.”

One player compared it to The Finals which has the Recon Senses item that allows players to see their opponents through walls saying “Wall hacks were a problem in The Finals and they are a problem here. It shouldn’t ping 5 times, you shouldn’t be able to stack it, and it shouldn’t be on a 30 second cooldown.”

With XDefiant still so new, it is likely that many of these overpowered abilities could be nerfed in future updates as Ubisoft figures out what is the best direction for the game to go in. But for now, players will just have to deal with this and the many other issues plaguing the game such as bunny hopping.

Despite these issues and complaints by the community, XDefiant is still a lot of fun and has been a hit with players since it launched one week ago. If you haven’t jumped into the game yet, we highly recommend checking out our XDefiant beginners tips and tricks guide.
