The next big free-to-play game from HoYoverse is almost here. With its imminent launch, we’ve now got the official word of when we can expect the Zenless Zone Zero release time, set to go live across PC, mobile, and PS5 platforms at the same time. Let’s look at when you can expect to play the game in your region, including a countdown timer to launch.
What time does Zenless Zone Zero release?
According to HoYoverse, the Zenless Zone Zero release time is set for July 4 at 3am BST in the UK / July 3 at 7pm PDT / 10pm EDT in the US. Due to the time zones, it will go live in the US on July 3, 2024. This launch information has been confirmed by HoYoverse in a blog post, detailing the launch. How to preload Zenless Zone Zero
You can only preload Zenless Zone Zero on mobile and PC, if you want to do it on PS5 you have to pay for a pre-order; the game will be free, so there’s no need to spend money on it. Here’s how to preload the game:
PC preload
To preload Zenless Zone Zero (Z.Z.Z) on PC, you simply need to download the HoYoverse Play launcher. This is a new hub for all HoYo’s games, including Genshin and Honkai. here’s how to do it:
- Launch HoYoPlay and click the icon in the bottom left to bring up a list of games.
- Select ZZZ from the list.
- Click on the ‘Get Game’ button and set it up for installation.
- The launcher will now download all the files you need for launch.
With that, you’ll have everything you need to start playing immediately when the game goes live on July 4.
Mobile preload
As with all mobile apps, you can navigate to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store depending on your device. Type Zenless Zone Zero into the search bar and then click on the icon to download the app. When you do this, you’ll see the game downloaded onto your device. Launch the game and you’ll see the option to preload it, letting you grab all the files you need ahead of the release.
PS5 preload
The PS5 does have a preload for ZZZ, but the problem is you have to buy and preorder the game. Since the game is free we do not recommend doing this, but if you really want to you can buy the preorder package from the PSN to allow preloading it on PS5.
- Go to the PlayStation Store on your PS5.
- Search for Zenless Zone Zero and select it.
- You’ll see the game can be pre-ordered for £9.49.
- Buy the game and this will let you preload it.
As mentioned, the game will be entirely F2P when it launches. This is a sneaky way to essentially get you to pay money to preload the game, which is entirely unnecessary. If you wait until July 4, you’ll be able to download the game for free as normal. Just know you won’t be able to preload it if you wait.
