How to use the Field
In Manor Lords, Fields are used to grow crops like Barley, Flax, Rye, and Wheat. You will need to build a Farmhouse to employ peasants to tend to the fields. We recommend creating a few different-sized fields, as this allows you to have Crops growing at all times, as some of your Fields may be at the beginning phase, whereas another Field may have Crops ready for harvesting.
Be aware that larger Fields will take workers longer to sow, if you have unlocked the Heavy Plow Development node, then you can assign an Oxen via the Farmhouse to reduce the time it takes to Plow and Harvest. Make sure to build a Field on lands with good land fertility.
Field Fertility
Over time, your Fields will lose Fertility, reducing your harvest yields. To increase the Fertility, you will need to set your Fields to rest, by setting them to Fallow. This is another reason why we recommend to build multiple fields. You can also unlock the Fertilization Development node, this will let you use your Fallow Fields to be used as Pasture, which will increase the rate of Fertility recovery.
Upgrading Your Field
Use 5 Planks to upgrade your field, this will build a fence around your field and upgrade it.
